While discovering the facts, the domestic media chose not to dig too deep in this issue, thus Hungarian audiences were able to collect information from international press and the internet only. Funny how the otherwise eager tabloids were reluctant to unravel the details of the story.

Although, the Aug 25^th issue of Blikk (a Hungarian tabloid) mentioned an American gay activist, according to whom Schaffer had been shooting in Hungary because regulations in Hungary are rather loose concerning age limitations. Contrary to this, everyone who has seen a movie with Marc Frederics (Schaffer’s pseudo name) and the Hungarian actors of movies produced by Matt Sterling’s HUGE VIDEO studios will see that the actors are well above 18 and even 21.

Obviously, little is said about how Fredrics has established himself here and who invited him. Some people speak of businesses in organized crimes, others believe that the threads lead to the highest ranks. The deep silence in the background might be due the involvement of politicians as well. One thing is certain, however, the Hungarian gay-porn industry, which is highly recognized internationally, has been started and managed by István Korda, ex-chairman of Antenna Hungária. (Korda was a member of the management of Atheneum Nyomda Rt /Atheneum Press/ and Hungexpo Rt during the Horn-cabinet. Furthermore, he was an executive of ÁPV Rt. /A state owned company responsible for privatization/, member of the supervisory board of Mafilm Investments. The initial broadcasts of the first two commercial channels in 1997 were under his official supervision.) His position denoted a significant political and economic control over the majority of the media.
Was he feared? Was he tolerated or supported? Who knows? The topic has been considered as a taboo until now. The Jackson-Schaffel scandal has broken the ice.
Hopefully, many readers remember the article on bodybuilders’ porn movies on 27^th May 2002 in Nyugat’s web-site. The news, which was published in ManNet already the very next day (!) in Los Angeles, has been picked up by many others. At that time, we had no knowledge of the fact that many of the characters of the article are actually involved in the Jackson-Schaffel case. One of them has now accepted to be interviewed. He can be seen by millions every day on the covers of magazines. In Hungary, however, he is only known in the ‘gayer’ part of the porn world.

- What made you decide to get involved with the sex industry? Was it the money, adventure or some sort of exhibitionism? How did you get started in the first place?

• I was in the local gym, when a guy came up to me and asked if I was interested in modeling. He was already in the business, that’s how he could establish his bodybuilding carrier. We were green with envy, because his pockets were always full of money, he could pay for all the expensive stuff, he has always received a medal, he was on the cover of magazines, and was travelling all over the world... I would have never had the chance, as a broke ghetto boy, to accelerate to this level... I really liked the idea, and few days later I was at Istvan Korda’s, then his friend - later my boss, apartment in the castle district of Buda. There, a few people checked me, and took some shots, while provided information on the whole business...

• What does this mean?
• I was told to think twice before I made a decision, because big sums cannot be earned with modeling, only with erotica and porn. If I do heterosexual porn, I could get up to 20-30 thousand a day, but if I choose to do gay-porn, I could multiply the fee. Additionally, with girls you have to do it without condoms, while with boys you are only allowed to do it with rubbers. This way it is much safer, that’s for sure...

Those who want to make a carrier here would be aware of the fact that the editors and photographers of fashion and bodybuilding magazines are all homosexuals, just like the majority of film studio agents. You’re going to get noticed only in movies where the attention is on the guys...

The boss had shown me some videos with the appearances of famous Hungarian and international bodybuilders, sportsmen and actors... First, I hesitated, but there was one of my buddies and he calmed me down by saying that if I choose gay-porn, nobody will ever know about it, because all the movies will be sold abroad...

Finally, I said let’s give it a go. At the beginning, the ‘cockroaches’ - that’s how we called the boss’s assistants - introduced us to the techniques, showed us a few tricks...

• Do you have to get laid with the boss for the parts?
• Well, yes. Abroad, at better places this is not customary, but here it is almost a must. Everyone has received their baptism of fire here. Although they might deny it...

So, the work had started and later I was introduced to the friends of the boss, who were selecting among us. The boss had invited many directors of famous gay-porn studios to Hungary. That’s how I got to travel around the world...

Your story has evoked two questions from my part. First, how could you deal with this business mentally and physically, after all, you had to do things you would never do otherwise. By the way, how was your ‘first time’? The second question: looking at the past half year’s scandals, did you seriously think that these things would never be found out?

• To begin with, my first time was a mess. I’ve told you that we were trained by the ‘cockroaches’, and then the boss, but this was, how shall I put it, almost fun, at least for me. We were drinking, laughing, and it was almost like doing this for a bet. The shooting, however, was somewhat different.

There were many people watching, the reflectors were hot, the camera zoomed in at me. And then, suddenly, I had to kneel down in front of my buddy and I had to give him a blow job. First, I thought I was going suffocate and throw up on his lap, but I survived. The next day was easier, and in a week I didn’t have any problems.

But when I was fucked, I seriously thought that I was going to die. Woo! Let’s just skip that! By the way, later I thought I had become gay, because I didn’t need a fluffer. The job went so easily, almost automatically...

• You didn’t need what?!

• It’s true, I didn’t know him, but I have studied his carrier... All these articles in front of us are about Istvan Korda. They give a somewhat different picture than you. He had a fantastic carrier as a state official, he was the friend of ministers. All of his posts are listed here, from the management of APV Rt to the chairman of Antenna Hungaria, his positions in the film studio, and who knows what more. At the same time he is referred to as the ‘Bloodhound of Budapest’ or the ‘Monster of Budapest’. This is not too charming, or is it? Was he really brutal?
• Not with me. We got along well. Of course, if I had tried to disappear or start a private business... those who had tried this, would soon learn the rules of the game! At the same time, however, he could act like a teenager. He was boasting about his official titles in front of the boys as if they were the toys of a kindergarten kid. I think he was very vain...

One thing’s for certain. Once he fell for someone, he would chase him till he got his scalp. If it worked out, he was really generous. Many guys can thank their diplomas and carriers for him. He had the power to get damn good positions for anybody. He had his contacts everywhere. Many were grateful to him. These things have been the same ever since.

• But Korda was murdered in 2000...
• A while ago, my ‘friend’s friend’ applied for the selection of a popular TV show. Shortly after he had arrived, a ‘candyman’ jumped at him and started to convince him that: he was a really photogenic guy and he must be photographed right away, and there are lots of people who could make him a star, bla-bla-bla... Believe it or not, in two minutes he was offered a contract. He didn’t sign. Man, he’d been bugged for this for weeks on his cellular phone...

And on the very same channel, a month later, I see him! In the afternoon talk-show. He introduce himself as an ideal husband, who could never take a glance at someone other than the wife. But we’d been fucking him in at least 30 movies! And this dummy presenter keeps talking her bullshit, while the audience, the idiot Hungarian audience applause and screams joyously, because they really like the show... They are moved. And the husband is fucked. Excuse my French...

• Aren’t you mad at the media?
• Of course I am. They only thrust their knives into those who have no backup. I am looking very eagerly towards the day when the trendy tabloids would report on the real life of the over-admired stars. As it is done in the foreign tabloids and media, where you simply cannot lie...

If only the media didn’t lie about celebrities that they have found the real woman, but comment on reality, where guys just cannot wait to get to a local pick up joint to get some fresh meat. Needless to say, they don’t want the ‘chicks’, they’re out for the ‘roosters’. Nobody would publish the following story either. One of my friend was once harassed in the lil’-boys-room by a famous bodybuilder. When the star got almost beaten up, he wouldn’t apologize, but he dared to say: "What are you doing, you little bastard?! I could get you out from misery with my finger!"

Why don’t journalists write about these issues?

When you do an escorting for these stinkers, or you are simply told to go there and perform, they wouldn’t want sex for money. They only want somebody to humiliate with their ‘elite’ friends. An ordinary Hungarian citizen, or a foreign client is usually very kind and generous, but not these shits... These people are beasts... You have to do it in front of them, they stand in a circle and watch how long you can take it. That’s why I don’t do escorting in Hungary...

• Presumably, there are such people among heterosexuals as well. By the way, wasn’t this business profitable for you with all its connections?
• Business was rolling secretly until 1999. But then, the boss’s supporters started to disappear, and one fine day the scandal broke out...
• If I remember well, it was in August 1999...
• Yes, the crew was at Tisza lake, when a local informed the police. Then came people from the TV and other journalists...
• Well, they had a good reason to go their. The crowd on a tourist ship was able to watch two muscleman making love on a landing-stage! The film is said to be a huge box office hit, because the cameraman had taken shots of the shocked faces of the tourists...
• Right. There was a guy, who said that the lightning had struck, and there would be only more storms coming... Half a year after that, the boss got murdered. I don’t have a sort of ‘conspiracy theory’, really, but still I find certain things rather interesting. There was a deep silence about those who were involved. And the ‘cockroaches’, well, they have continued what the boss had started.

• Let’s make an account of what happened recently. The first scandal hit in 1999, when the French released the "KNOCK OUT", shot at KOKO GYM in Budapest, which literally knocked out the famous gym club. Do you think the owners of the club knew about the shooting?
• Do you really think that it’s possible to shoot a porn film behind the back of the owners, just like that? Come on...

But nobody would want to drop their sales. Who would buy a bodybuilding magazine with porn stars? Who would purchase dietary substitutes from a company which employ gay stars? Who would go to a gym, where pussies work out? I hope you’re not going to start preaching about sportsmen’s moral and other shit?! This is business. If they knew it, they didn’t bother. Why, isn’t it the best if the idiots are purchasing all these shits to make themselves look better. And what he earns with his body, he can waste on even more dope and stuffs?

• Dou you know how many of you got caught on the hop? In your first movies, the French put you under your real names. When, for instance, some of your fans wanted to search for your next competition dates on the internet, they typed your names in the search engines and every other site was a porn site. Furthermore, there are so-called Porn Directories. These are catalogues, where the pseudo names of artists are listed together with the studios they worked with, dates, movie titles, etc...
• Oh my God! I think that’s how a friend of mine might have got pinched. He should have traveled abroad not so long ago, because he had received an offer from a famous model agency for ‘real’ modeling. In the very last minute, he got a two-sentence letter with a picture from one of his movies. He could have made a good living from that money... since then, he’s on drugs and booze... that’s it.

• There are other interesting parts of the story. The stars of movies directed by Oliver M. include Nemecsek Erno, Nyilas Misi, Benedek Elek, or even Chieftain Arpad and Attila. Thus, if students type these names in the search engines in a computer assisted class for instance, what they find could hardly serve the basis of the National Curriculum! Oliver M.’s latest works include Hungarian Memories and Field Training. Do you know this director?
• Yes, he was the right hand of the boss... Talking about fame, when my girlfriend arrived home from abroad, she hit me with a magazine with me on the cover of it. After that she had left me and never heard anything from her ever since...

• If I’m not mistaken, Hungarian boys - mostly bodybuilders - have been quite successful in the past two years. There were 21 Hungarian and 9 foreign films - with Hungarian actors - in the top 100 of gay porn movies, last year. Most of the nominees were also Hungarians. Of course, there is a reason why you couldn’t bring any of the trophies home. For example, here’s Max Viper’s review on Pacific Sun studio’s Bikers Bang (the whole story here). First, the reviewer highlights the positive features of the film. He is for instance amazed how the beautiful Hungarian guys can suck and fuck like rabbits. Then, he criticizes that the boys are overacting and that they low like those bulls, who know that next day they’re going to be turned into hamburgers! Moreover, the boys does not speak English. Presumably, their primitive lines are dubbed into even more primitive ones. This, of course, does not hinder the guys to lead the charts in three continents. This is simply called "the sex-revolution of Hungarians".
• I don’t know much about this.

• Well, you know what? I’ve never ever heard about this in my whole entire life. You see? I don’t even have a clue how my pictures got there...
• Do you have a contract at all?
• Usually I have, but not always. If it’s in Hungarian, that’s good. If it’s written in a foreign language, there could be problems. Can you imagine my manager and legal adviser dealing with the studio if I don’t like the fee?! This is not Hollywood, fuck it! If you don’t like what you’re doing, get lost! There’s plenty of others to replace you.

• Changing topic then. What’s next?
• I don’t have too much choice. If you’re in gay porn, people don’t want you elsewhere... I could go dancing, until I look good. Or I could do live shows. I would never do escorting...
• What do you mean that people don’t want you elsewhere? Gay porn is on the rise here in Hungary. PRIVATE, which has a good reputation in the world of erotica with the work of Kovi and stars like Michelle Wild or Monique Covet, have started their quality, high budget gay movies under the title PRIVATE Man, with Hungarian actors...

• I don’t think it’s true.
• The scandal caused by Michael Jackson’s producer has directed the attention of not only the world but Hungarian media as well. This must be hard to handle. How do you keep up?
• To be honest, you cannot do it without drugs. After work I often empty the bottles - usually whisky, straight...
• How can you keep your body in such a good condition then?
• With drugs. By the way, mine is not a classical bodybuilder body any more. My muscles are rather for porn...
• How about sex?
• At home, everything is all right, but I do need Viagra when doing films, because I’m stressed.
